INPATIENT REHAB
Rehab is available to assist after a stroke, injury or accident has left you or a loved one unable to communicate, walk and perform some of the basic abilities needed to live independently. Following hospitalization, inpatient rehabilitation enables patients to rebuild their strength and confidence needed to recover and adjust to life changes.
At Minden Medical Center, we believe in working with our patients, their physician and family members to set and reach rehabilitation goals. This inclusive approach allows for a supportive, encouraging and positive beginning to recovery.
Our patients receive round the clock attention from specialized rehabilitation nurses and physicians. Intensive
rehabilitative care is provided along with customized physical, occupational and speech therapy to help recover from their disabilities. The rehabilitation staff assists patients in taking their first new steps, listens to them speak their first new words and stands alongside as they relearn, retrain, regain and reach their goals.
ACUTE INPATIENT REHAB
Occasionally a person may need a more intensive and comprehensive program of therapy for conditions such as a stroke, Parkinson's, or fractured hip. This program may require a hospitalization lasting from 7-28 days depending upon the degree of disability and the individual's progress. The program is medically supervised by Dr. Jenness Courtney, Physiatrist.
